IUID Registry
Unique identifiers on items are meaningless without their associated data. The IUID Registry maintained by DLIS is the ultimate repository where all IUID data will be captured and stored. Registry information about each qualifying item includes: what the item is, its original owner, its initial value, acceptance timing, and other data points. To transmit IUID data to the Registry for the new acquisition of tangible items, the Wide Area Workflow Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA) process is the standardized method. Secure electronic access to the Registry enables Warfighters to obtain item information.
