What is IUID?
Item Unique Identification (IUID) is DoD's vision for end-to-end item visibility and management. A primary IUID objective is to enable the DoD supply chain to deliver full mission capabilities to Warfighters. This section provides tools to help the Warfighter become familiar with the most fundamental aspects of IUID. By reviewing the tools provided in this section, the reader should become familiar with the basic purpose of IUID and have a good working knowledge of IUID related terminology.
