Implement IUID Technology
Use this section to determine the best IUID marking method and equipment, based on your processes, to apply unique identifiers to required items. Marking technology and equipment are available in the commercial market. DoD does not endorse any specific vendor, but recommends that program and depot managers work with their Service AIT offices to meet technology requirements related to IUID. Another option is to conduct market research on Automated Identification Technology (AIT) vendors.
